I hope your new year is off to a great start. I wanted to share some good news on this rainy Sunday.
First, an update on the sweet little puppy I rescued last fall. I found him eating trash in the street on my way downtown, with a broken dirty shoe lace hanging from his collar. He is happy in his new home, completed his heart worm treatments and loves his little buddies and lots of toys.
Ahh, I love a happy ending.
Second, I received a nice surprise last week when Jennalise honored me with the Blog on Fire award. Please check out her lovely blog [here]. She is a lover of all things pink and pretty and has a wonderful blog. Thanks, Jennalise!
So, now I'm supposed to tell you five things about myself. Hum . . . Okay. . . (1) I always wanted a kitten when I was growing up. Instead for my tenth birthday, I was given a puppy ~ a pug we named Chibi. (2) I lived on Sunrise Blvd. ~ which makes my stripper name Chibi Sunrise. (3) My first adventure in decorating was my college dorm room. I should have followed my heart way back then. (4) I'm a fan of One Life to Live and watch every night on SoapNet. So sad. (5) I am so in awe of creative people and wish I was more like them! {Note to self - refer to item three above.}
Now for those to whom I pass along the Blog on Fire award. . . I have dedicated this award to talented, creative people who inspire me.
Rosemary at Villabarnes finds the most amazing things and so generously shares tips on how to re-purpose them.
I'm looking forward to following Linda's blog Simply Painted, since she is the most creative flea-er and talented painter I know, and I am not above copying her brilliant ideas.
I love Atelier de Campagne, a shop in California and in the words of Rachel Zoe, I'd die to have their wonderful finds!!
Finally, this is not technically a blog, but I pass this award along to Teresa Hall's board Flea With Me on Pinterest because I gives me such great links to sites that inspire. I love her other boards, too.

If I was going to make one new year's resolution, it would be to spend much more time filling my heart and mind with the beautiful images you all share on your blogs and boards.

Congratulations on your award. It was fun learning a bit more about you, stripper name and all :) x Sharon
Dear Lulu,
I am pretty new to your blog but am impressed already. I love your candor. I read a post last week on a blog I follow that talked about authenticity being one the most important characteristic in writing your blog. By divulging those things about yourself you certainly qualify as that. It is real and endearing. Congratulations.

i, too, am am Atelier fan
Congrats on your award, and thanks for thinking of me.
Thanks for sharing the photos! I like the angel most. It's so white and pure. I like angels statues. Every time I travel, I take photos of different places where there are either angel statues or fountains or other. They mean a lot to me.
