OMG, What a joy to look at a blog post and see tasteful, wonderful, beautiful, real, old painted, French Furniture. I am so over, every one painted any only piece of furniture white, sanding it a little, and calling it French.A plastic fronted china cabinet, painted white, is not, nor will it ever be French or French Style. A English Queen Ann style mahogany dining room set, painted white, is still a English Queen Ann style dining room set, NOT FRENCH! Also the shabby chick crowd, they just don't get it. To work there has to be that one element, mentioned in the name, CHIC! I am sorry I have ragged on your post. I am just so happy to see the real thing and not a painted up make do mess. that people call French. I love your pictures. Thanks for sharing. Richard from My Old Historic House.
Absolutely loved it! So many wonderful inspirations. I would love all those doors in my next house. Also enjoyed the layers of curtaining.Have a great weekend, Fiona
